You can check the status of your application at www.co.pueblo.co.us. You will be notified either way, usually 2 to 3 weeks after a job posting closes.

Depending on the position being filled and the number of applicants, the process could take several weeks. You will be notified either way.

How can I apply for positions at the Sheriff’s Department?
The Sheriff’s Department has its own application; it has the Sheriff’s Star on the cover page. Applicants must complete the Sheriff’s Application Form. Applications are accepted only when job postings exist. You may submit your name, address and telephone number and ask to be placed on the mailing list to be notified when they have job postings. The department will send a post card notification when they are accepting applications.
