Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Program
Especially for the Uninsured
The Community Cardiovascular Disease Prevention Program is a grant funded by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. The Pueblo City-County Health Department, partnering with Denver Health, can help you know your risks by Cardiovascular Risk screenings. These screenings include a blood pressure reading, height, weight, (Body Mass Index or BMI), health history and Cholesterol screening. All of your risk factors are combined into an overall risk score. Education is given in areas where you could possibly lower your risk and in areas where you are doing well. This program is free to UNINSURED people living in Pueblo.
